World Fantasy Convention 2013 (held simultaneously with FantasyCon 2013) was held October 31 - November 3, 2013 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Brighton, UK.

The GoH list was bewilderingly large and complicated: Richard Matheson (who died before the convention) and Richard Christian Matheson were "Honorary" Guests of Honor, while the actual Guests of Honor were Joanne Harris and Joe Hill, the Artist GoH was Alan Lee, and Brian W. Aldiss, Tessa Farmer, and Robert Lloyd Parry (M. R. James) were Special Guests, with a Special Appearance by Sir Terry Pratchett The convention's theme was "Arthur Machen @ 150", and it was chaired by Stephen Jones and Michael Marshall Smith.

China Miéville was originally scheduled to be the Toastmaster, but was forced by circumstances to cancel. He instead sent The Apology Chapbook, containing 8 stories, which was printed as a special book for con attendees. Neil Gaiman was the replacement Toastmaster.

The 2013 World Fantasy Award Life Achievement Recipients were Susan Cooper and Tanith Lee.
