Fandom occurs in Madison, and less vigorously in Milwaukee, but there used to be a lot of weird activity around Sauk City. Fond du Lac was important when Dean A. Grennell lived there, and Jon and Joni Stopa made Wilmot Mountain notable.

Westcon took place in Wausau. The Science Fiction Organization of La Crosse ran Couleecon/Attemptacon.

Well-known Wisconsin fen have included Bob Bloch, Phyllis Economou, Gene DeWeese, Jeanne Gomoll, and Orange Mike.
