Windycon XXV was a convention held from November 13-15, 1998 at the Hyatt Regency Woodfield in Schaumburg, IL. Guests of Honor: Allen Steele, Phil Foglio, Mitchell Burnside-Clapp, Martin H. Greenberg, Barry Lyn-Waitsman, Marcy Lyn-Waitsman, Frederik Pohl. Toastmaster: Christian Ready. Chair: Rick Waterson. The theme was "Silver Windycon."

The ISFiC Writers Contest winner is "Grandpa," by Susan L. Wachowski.
