The United Fanzine Organization (UFO) is a group of largely comics-oriented zine publishers, an apa-like organization called a “minicomics co‑op.” (It differs from an apa in that members distribute their zines, whenever published, to each other rather than at designated intervals via a central OE.)

Founded in 1968 by Carl Gafford as Blue Plaque Publications, the group disbanded in 1972, but was revived later that year by Steve Keeter and given its current name. They bestow annual UFO Awards. Fl. 1972–2023.

Notable members have included Dwight Decker and Kurt Erichsen.

Club 1972
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
