Weekly reading series created by [[Tina Jens]] in [[Chicago]] following Halloween in 1993.  Generally held at the [[Red Lion]] Pub on Lincoln Avenue, across from the Biograph Theatre where John Dillinger was shot, the series hosted more than 500 authors, both established and unpublished before it was forced to close when the pub underwent "renovation" in [[2008]] from which it never re-opened.  Attempts to move the reading series elsewhere met with limited success.
