Thylacon 2 was held 5-8 June 1998 at Hadley's Hotel Hobart in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Guests of Honour: George R. R. Martin, Leanne Frahm, Honoured Guests: Neil Gaiman, Sara Douglass. It was chaired by Robin Johnson and Cary Lenehan.
