A fanzine published by George Charters with 19 issues between 1963 and 1970. "The Scarr" is an anagram of "Charters". Charters used to excerpt the worst excesses of Badger Books hackwork in The Scarr which Dave Langford credits (?) as one of the inspirations for the popular Thog's Masterclass column in Ansible. Starting with 11, he numbered the issue in ternary.
