Stan Nuttall

(1927[1] – April 26, 2019)
Harold Stanley "Stan" Nuttall, a Liverpool fan, was a member (and ex-Chairman) of the Liverpool Science Fiction Society, and wrote for the clubzine Space Diversions. He was half the Hurstmonceaux and Faversham writing team behind the Harrison stories, with John Owen.
Nuttall was an early member of the Liverpool group (number 18) and attended Mancon in 1952. He was a regular attendee at conventions throughout the 1950s, producing and directing Last and First Fen at Cytricon II. He was made a Knight of St. Fantony at Cytricon III in 1957. In 1960, and together with John Roles, he scripted the TAFF race Election Night special broadcast.
He married fellow fan Marjorie Denton on September 9, 1961, and doesn't seem to have attended conventions thereafter, although he remained active in the Liverpool group, becoming treasurer in 1963 and contributing news to Skyrack later in the decade.
Nuttall collected records, old US movies 1936-42, and film music scores.
