Southern Fandom refers to fandom south of the Mason-Dixon Line, generally that in the U.S. states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. They have a cohesive spirit and several of their own regional clubs, such as the Southern Fandom Confederation, and an annual rotating convention, DeepSouthCon. There is also MidSouthCon, held annually in Memphis.
