(1) A Film Award[edit]

The Saturn Awards, established in 1972 by Dr. Donald A. Reed, founder of the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films, are given for outstanding achievement and merit in fantastic films released during the previous year.

Categories are similar to those of the Oscar Awards.

(2) An Award Sponsored by the Forbidden Planet Bookstore[edit]

A Saturn Award was sponsored by the Forbidden Planet Bookstore in New York City in the early 1980s.

(3) What the Frank R. Paul Award Looked Like[edit]

Then there was also the Frank R. Paul Award given out by Ken Moore whose trophy was in the shape of the planet Saturn.
