The Southern Fandom Group was a regional club founded in 1960 by Al Andrews of Alabama and Lloyd D. Broyles of Waco, TX. Al Andrews was its first (and only) Director.

It was intended to be a club for Southern fans and was organized along the lines of the N3F. It published a newsletter, The Southern Fan, but was most notable for spurring the creation of SFPA. It quickly fell apart for lack of activity, ending in 1963, but the idea was revived about a decade later at DeepSouthCon, giving rise to the SFC.

Club
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
