Richard Hickey, a Chifan, hosted, with his wife, Rosemary Hickey (they married in 1959), the monthly meetings of the second Chicago Science Fiction Club at their home at 2020 N. Mohawk Street in the mid-60s.

The Hickeys performed in “The Purple Pastures” at Pittcon in 1960.

Following Chicon 3 in 1962, they hosted Walt and Madeleine Willis during their travels.

Rosemary and Richard had two children together and moved to Texas. They divorced in 1977. He later remarried and died in 2019.
