Renee Alper

(1957 -- July 27, 2015)

United States filker and Tolkien fan who founded the Tolkien fanzine Annuminas, Minas Aeron (the Chicago local chapter of the Mythopoeic Society), and the American Hobbit Association. She basically ran all aspects of the American Hobbit Association for twelve years.

She won or placed in the OVFF Songwriting Contest twelve times and was nominated for two Pegasus Awards. She hosted Filkaholics Anonymous at her home in Mason, OH.
