A Canadian fan who spent some years living in the U.S. Midwest, Renée Sieber was founder of the General Technics APA, APA-TECH.

In the 1980s, Bill Higgins, Barry Gehm and Sieber organized a Moopsball game involving fans from all over the Midwest. Steve Johnson provided equipment for the game with the unwitting participation of the DePaul University athletic department.
