Ray C. Higgs

(November 8, 1906 -- October 1975)

Ray C. Higgs (known as Racy), who lived in Connersville, Indiana, was a member of The National Fantasy Fan Federation (N3F) and a member of its Board, and was editor of the club's principal fanzine during 1947-1949, and then again in the 1950s. For a time he also edited Postwarp. He received the first Kaymar Award in 1959.

Higgs was very active in fandom during the 1940s-1950s, belonging to SAPS, NAPA, FAPA, and VAPA, in addition to N3F.

His many activities in fandom are chronicled in Harry Warner's All Our Yesterdays (1969) and A Wealth of Fable (1992).
