Philcon 1982.1

Philcon 82.1 was held January 14-16, 1993 in Philadelphia at the hotel in Center City then known as the Franklin Plaza. The principal speaker was C. J. Cherryh and the Guest Artist was Carl Lundgren.

The year when Philcon 82.1 took place was in fact 1983: this is not a mistake. Following the tradition created in 1977, Philcon was given the year designation of the prior year with the ".1" added to indicate that it took place the following January. There was a Philcon 83 which took place later in the year.
