A bid to hold the Worldcon at the Sheraton in downtown Philadelphia in 1977. Chairman: Don Sobwick, Vice-Chairman: Ted Pauls, Secretary: Susan Casper and later Joyce McDaniel, Treasurer: George Scithers. (For a time it was co-chaired by Don Sobwick and George Scithers. Other members of the bid committee included Brian Burley, Yale F. Edeiken, Mark Owings, Jack Chalker and Scratch Bacharach.

Ted Pauls published Contact as a bidzine for the committee.

Worried about the Increase in Convention Sizes in the 70s, committee planned to limit attendance to 2800-3000 people as that was the largest convention the Sheraton had room for.

It appears that the bid ended before the site selection ballot was printed. The right to run the 1977 Worldcon was won by 7 in '77 which went on to run SunCon. See 1977 Site Selection.
