Oxford is a famous university city in central England, where Tolkien and C. S. Lewis once met as members of the Inklings. Current home of the Oxford University Speculative Fiction Group and the Oxford Tolkien Society
Oxford colleges have hosted conventions like the Oxonmoot series, Oxcon 84, and Lexicon, while Oxford Brookes hosted Conine while it was a polytechnic. One Eastercon, Galactic Fair was held there.
