Norwescon 40 was a convention held April 13-16, 2017 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport in SeaTac, WA. The GoHs were Ian McDonald (writer), Cory Ench, Catska Ench (artists), and Ethan Siegel (science).

Angry Robot Books was the Spotlight publisher, represented by Marc Gascoigne and Michael Underwood. The Toastmaster was Nancy Kress, it was chaired by Kathy Bond and attendance was 2860. The theme was "Over the Hills and Far Away."
