New Zealand has had a New Zealand Natcon since 1979. The FFANZ fan fund aims to send fans to and from Australia; and GUFF and DUFF, from Australasia to Europe and the United States. It received a big tourist boost in the 2000s from fans of the Lord of the Rings films shot there.
It was to have held its first Worldcon, CoNZealand, in 2020, but the Covid-19 pandemic meant it had to be held online.
