Necon 5 was a convention held in 1984 at Roger Williams University near Providence, RI. The GoHs were Alan Ryan, Whitley Streiber, Steve Gervais, and Bob Lavoie. The toastmaster was Craig Shaw Gardner, the Roastee was [[ Douglas E. Winter]] and it was chaired by Bob Booth.
