Nancy Atherton, an American fan, was a member of the South Florida Science Fiction Society. She chaired Tropicon V in 1986 and was part of a group which reprinted a variety of Walt Willis's writings.

She is author of the Aunt Dimity series of paranormal cozy mystery novels, begun in 1992 and now extending to more than two dozen volumes.

Atherton is a Chicago native and a graduate of the University of Chicago. She has lived in Colorado Springs, CO, since 2002.
