Midwestcon 16 was a relaxacon held June 25-27, 1965 at the Holiday Inn North in Cincinnati. Attendances was about 110. There was a "small, informal" program Saturday night including a eulogy for Don Ford who had just died and several films. The Great Wall Society held their second meeting.

Many members of the New York Fanoclasts were there to promote their Worldcon bid. The "First Midwestcon Open", (miniature golf) was held. A team of rich brown and a nearly legally blind Arnie Katz won an upset victory over the team of Ted White and Andy Porter. Bob Tucker announced The Emperor of America, his novel about fandom.

There is a convention report by Frank Prieto in the August 1965 issue of Science Fiction Times.
