Midwest Construction

Midwest Construction was a short-lived con-running convention, started in 2002 and sponsored by MFCI. The convention is currently in abeyance although interest in restarting it has been expressed by both Iowa and Chicago fans.

MCFI founder Steven H Silver has stated, "Although the convention name made sense at the time, since we planned to discuss how to build conventions from the ground up, it proved to be a mistake. For years after I chaired the first one, I found myself on spammers list for concrete, i-beams, and other construction supplies."
