Mark R. Leeper, a fan now living in New Jersey, became an avid science fiction lover at age 6 with the Commando Cody TV show. He was a member of the UMass Science Fiction Society in the late 1960s and early ’70s and a member of the Wayne Third Foundation in Detroit in the mid-1970s. In 1978, he and his wife, Evelyn Leeper, founded the Mt Holz Science Fiction Club at Bell Labs.

They have jointly edited and published their weekly ezine, The M T Void, since 1978. As of November 20, 2020, they had pubbed 2,146 issues. Mark also published Betelguese. He is an inveterate writer of movie reviews.

The Leepers met while in high school as math champs in western Massachusetts.
