The Inkpot Award is given each year at the San Diego Comic-Con for achievement in science fiction and fantasy, comic arts, animation, film/TV, and service to fandom.

The award consists of a plaque with a statue mounted on it.

There are no set number of winners per year.

The awards have been given since 1974. Forrest J Ackerman, Ray Bradbury, and Bjo Trimble were among the first winners.

Subsequent winners included Jack Kirby, Stan Lee, Jim Harmon, Jerry Siegel, and Joe Shuster.

Winners in 2018 included Nichelle Nichols and Cory Doctorow.
