Harry Jenkins, Jr., a Columbia, South Carolina, fan active in the 1930s and ’40s, published Fan Editor and Publisher (with Joe Fortier). He was a charter member of The National Fantasy Fan Federation in 1941, and edited the fourth issue of the clubzine Bonfire.
He is credited with being the first to use the term actifan in print, in a loc in the May 1942 issue of Super Science Stories.
His photo appears on page 172 of Harry Warner's fan history of the 1940s, All Our Yesterdays (Advent, 1969) pictured with Joe Gilbert, another Columbia fan. He was the subject of a Founding Members article in June, 2017 issue National Fantasy Fan.
