William Gregg Calkins was a fan active primarily in the 1950s and ’60s in Utah and the Bay Area, but more recently in Costa Rica. He was a member of FAPA until at least the 1990s and served as its president in the early ’80s. He had the Starflame Publications publishing house.

Calkins was a player in The Purple Pastures at Pittcon in 1960, and published the respected fanzine Oopsla! from 1952–1961.
