Eastercon 47, Evolution, was held at Heathrow during Easter 1996. The GoHs were Jack Cohen, Colin Greenland, Paul Kincaid, Maureen Kincaid Speller, Bryan Talbot, and Vernor Vinge. The committee were Bridget Hardcastle, Pat McMurray, Mark Charsley, Mary Branscombe, Simon Bisson, Mike Westhead, and Tim Illingworth. The newsletter was Primordial Slime, with unofficial newsletter Wrath of Ghu

A special promotional booklet, Evolution@Intersection was produced for the Worldcon the year before
