Elayne Frances Pelz (née Yampolsky), an LA area fan and conrunner, is a member (and officer) of LASFS. She also belongs to SCIFI. Elayne has worked on numerous conventions: Worldcons, Westercons, and regionals, mainly in art show and treasury. In the early 1970s, she apparently went by Elayne Frances, under which name she was listed as secretary of L.A.con.

She was the second wife of BNF Bruce Pelz, whom she married in 1974. She assumed leadership of Conagerie, the 2002 Westercon, upon Bruce's death, and the con was held successfully. She chaired Loscon 20.
