Donald B. Thompson, a fan from Louisiana, active in the 1940s, published the FAPAzine Phanny (later Phanteur). He was often referred to in fandom as D. B. Thompson. He wrote extensively for Le Zombie, where Tucker nicknamed him “Donna Belle.”

He had a membership in Chicon, the 1940 Worldcon.

He was a charter member of the N3F in 1941.

A Founding Member article by Jon D. Swartz, featuring Thompson, appeared in the November 2018 issue of The National Fantasy Fan.
