Diversicon 8 was held July 28-30, 2000 at the Holiday Inn Express in St. Paul, MN. The theme was "The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of." GoH was Lois McMaster Bujold, Special Guests were Laurel Winter and Suzy McKee Charnas, and Posthumous Guest Of Honor was Leigh Brackett. The 2000 Tiptree Awards were presented at the convention.
