DeepSouthCon 15, AKA B'hamacon 1, was a convention held August 26-28, 1977 in Birmingham, AL. Attendance was 340. It was chaired by Penny Frierson. The Rebal Award went to Cliff Biggers and Susan Biggers and the Phoenix Award went to Michael Bishop. Michael Bishop was also the GoH, Charles and Dena Brown were the Fan GoHs, and Hank Reinhardt was the MC.

A book of Michael Bishop's poetry, titled Poetry Book was given to the convention's first 100 advance members.

Site selection for the 1978 DSC was between Atlanta (74 votes), Chattanooga (48 votes) and Costa Mesa, CA (10 votes).
