NASFiC 8, CascadiaCon, was held September 1–5, 2005, in Seattle, WA, at the Seattle Airport Hilton and Conference Center. The World Science Fiction Society holds a North American Science Fiction Convention in years when Worldcon takes place outside North America, in this case, Interaction in Glasgow, Scotland.

Guests of Honor: Fred Saberhagen (Writer), Liz Danforth (Artist), Toni Weisskopf (Editor), Kevin Standlee (Fan), Hiroaki Inoue (Special Anime). Chairman: Bobbie DuFault. Attendees: 1785/2014.

Seattle in 2005 defeated Charlotte in 2005 in a tight 2005 NASFiC Site Selection vote held at Torcon 3, the 2003 Worldcon. The 2007 NASFiC Site Selection was held at this NASFiC.
