Burnout is the feeling a fan gets after working hard and getting no egoboo in return. Often a cause of gafiation. Becoming burned out is a hazard of crifanac and hyperfanac.

Sort of a synonym for gafia, brought on when a fan takes on more obligations than he can handle and withdraws from fandom, his enthusiasm boiled dry.
