Eastercon 16, Brumcon II, was held in Birmingham, UK over Easter 1965. The GoH was Harry Harrison. The committee was Ken Cheslin, Roger G. Peyton, Mike Higgs, and Charlie Winstone.

The Loncon 2 committee announced the Hugo nominations. Reuters reported that attendance was "70 men and 6 women" and describes that Harry Harrison's GoH speech "in an hour-long address, attacked the Salvation Army band playing outside, threw a meat pie at a friend in the hall, and satirized the writers who will attend the World Science Fiction Convention in London in August."
