Bill Trojan, a fan from Eugene, Oregon, was a huckster and owner of Escape Books. He organized Orcon, a convention to be held in 1977, but was forced to cancel it. He also promoted the hoax convention Trojancon to be held at his house before the 1990 Portland Westercon 43.

He died in a hotel room in Reno, NV, shortly after Renovation, which he had attended.

Fanzines and Apazines: With Chip Sullivan and Pam Berryman, Trojan published at least one issue of a fanzine called Braynwod "a medieval term meaning frenzied," beginning in 1972.
