(1923 -- )

Australian fan Bert F. Castellari attended Randwick Intermediate High School and while there struck up a friendship with William D. Veney, Ron Brennan, and Ron Lane.

All four were fans and, in 1937 while still at school, produced Spacehounds, a handwritten publication that featured fan fiction. While it only ran for ten weekly issues and a single "quarterly" issue, it attracted the attention of other fans and led to the publication of other fanzines.

He was also the first editor of the Futurian Observer and the perpetrator of the Sydcon hoax.
