(October 27, 1948 – March 18, 2017)

Bernard Albert "Bernie" Wrightson was an American artist known for his horror illustrations and comic books. He was awarded the Inkwell Award Special Recognition Award in 2015 for his 45-plus years of work, including co-creating DC Comic's Swamp Thing and Frankenstein. With Jeff Jones, Michael Kaluta and Barry Windsor-Smith he was a member of The Studio in the late 70s.
