The Baltimore, Maryland -- Washington, DC, metropolitan area, which includes the adjacent parts of Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Being so close together, fandom in the Baltiwash area tends to work together on many projects, even though Washington fans have WSFA and Baltimore fans have BSFS. Most Baltiwash Worldcons have been joint affairs.

Disclave was held here from 1950 until it drowned in 1997, and was succeeded, in 2001, by Capclave. Balticon has been going since 1967.
