Balticon 8 was a convention held at the Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore, Washington's Birthday weekend, February 15-18, 1974. The GoH was Fred Pohl and the chairman was Ted Pauls.

This Balticon was important since it was here that Sue Wheeler became so disgusted with the con not having a club to run it that she and others re-founded BSFS, which had been dead for years.
