Officially known as the "Alamo Literary Arts Maintenance Organization" (though no one calls it that) it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit literary corporation recognized by the IRS since 1996 and located in Austin, TX. It describes itself as being "organized for the purposes of promoting the understanding and appreciation of the literary fields of fantasy, science fiction and horror, and to provide a forum for the free discussion of the ideas and concepts associated with these literary fields. In this role it acts to further the interests of the international community of active science fiction fans and the field's professional writers, editors and artists."

It ran LoneStarCon II and LoneStarCon 3, Smofcon 27 and InstaCon. It has also sponsored Nebula Weekends and a number of mystery conventions including Bouchercon.

Club
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
