Zoo Nation
A British fanzine published by Peter Young. It ran eight issues from 2002 to 2006 (though issue 1.5 was a single sheet.) Young was inspired to create the fanzine after attending his first Novacon, Novacon 31, in 2001. Zoo Nation won the Nova Award for Best Fanzine in 2003 and 2004.
Issues were paper only (A5, two staples), and it was noted for its high production and design values.
Contributors included James Bacon (Journey Planet), Simon Bradshaw, Randy Byers (Chunga), Del Cotter, Nic Farey (This Here...), Steve Green, David A. Hardy, Amy Harlib, Niall Harrison, Nick Honeywell, Kim Huett, Gareth Jelley, Tony Keen, Maureen Kincaid Speller (Steam Engine Time), David Langford (Ansible), Farah Mendlesohn, Curt Phillips, Ang Rosin, Marcus Rowland and Frank Wu.
