A hoax and the author of a hoax. Travis Tea was dreamed up by a number of SF writers to be the author of Atlanta Nights, a jointly written book that attempted to be the worst book ever written. It was then submitted to print-on-demand publisher PublishAmerica, which accepted it with praise.

To get an idea, here's the first question from the Travis Tea FAQ:
QUESTION: "The world is full of bad books written by amateurs. But why settle for the merely regrettable?"
ANSWER: "Atlanta Nights is a bad book written by experts."

The book was published in 2005, tho not by PublishAmerica, which withdrew its acceptance when the hoax was revealed.
