A Worldcon bid for Milwaukee, WI which, it seems possible, never got beyond the stage of "rumor."
Phyllis Economou (who described herself as being most of Milwaukee Fandom) announced in March or April 1958 that Milwaukee was definitely not in the race and never had been.
