A Worldcon bid to bring the 2002 Worldcon to the San Francisco Bay Area. Its competition was Berlin in 2002 and Seattle in 2002 which was forced to withdraw due to an inability to obtain facilities, leaving BA in 2002 the winner which ran ConJosé, the 2002 Worldcon. The Bay Area in 2002 bid was chaired by Kevin Standlee.
