DeepSouthCon 9 was held August 26-30, 1971 in conjunction with Pelicon in New Orleans, LA. Membership was 105. It was chaired by John Guidry & Rick Norwood. Janie Lamb won the Rebel Award and R. A. Lafferty won the Phoenix Award. GoH: Poul Anderson, FGoH: Fred Patten.
