Reproduction by a sort of simplified photography, without the fine detail or graduations of shade. Blueprint paper is exposed to light with material on a translucent sheet placed over it like a negative; the light turns it blue in all areas not shaded. A bath in water then destroys the paper's ability to change any further. It isn't easy, but some handsome pieces of fan art have been produced thus.
