The Way the Future Blogs is a weblog by Fred Pohl, including his reminiscences about early fandom, his career as a science-fiction writer and fans and pros he knew, along with commentary on science, real-world and fan politics and whatever else occurred to him. Fred launched the blog in 2009, when he was 90 years old, and as a result won the 2010 Best Fan Writer Hugo. The title alludes to Fred's autobiography, The Way the Future Was.
Along with his professional writing, Fred continued writing for the blog up until the day of his death in 2013 -- and beyond. His widow, Elizabeth Anne Hull, and blogmeister, Leah A. Zeldes, are keeping it going, with material Fred wrote before he died, as well as posts by Betty and others.
