Services

Services is a model of running a convention at-con which has replaced the Big Ops model at many conventions. Instead of an Ops organization running everything, the people responsible for planning each area are also responsible for executing it at-con. Necessary central coordination and services are provided by a much smaller Services department which provides office facilities, makes supplies available, can be counted on to be able to contact the hotel liaisons, etc.

This works especially well if many departments share the same administrative area with Services.
